Confirmation of Payee (CoP) is an account name-checking service being introduced in Australia in 2025. This initiative aims to reduce fraud and misdirected payments by verifying the beneficiary’s bank account details — including the account name — before a payment is made.

As an Identified Institution of the New Payments Platform (NPP), Banking Circle Australia will participate in the CoP framework and comply with the industry rollout to help improve payment accuracy and enhance customer security.
